Final Grade and VACATION

I got 199 on my paper which makes me happy because I am not the best writer in the whole world and I worked on that paper for the last 5 weeks.
Wednesday morning I told my husband I wanted to visit my mom in MN so I started on the way 2 hours later with my 4 and 5 year old girls in the car. I got to MN at 2 PM yesterday and am loving spending time with my mother, sister and her children. I am so glad this term is over. I really need the break and I am definitely enjoying it. Hope all of you have done well, I have done better than I expected to do and hopefully will continue doing so.
Good luck on future courses and in life itself,

Wow, Unit 9 already

Hello all,
I am actually relieved that it is unit 9. I am looking forward to my break. I have a lot of catching up to do around my house and I want to play with my kids. It is summer in East Texas and we are loving it. We have waterfights in the yard and are constantly going somewhere fun to swim. Summer has been a blast so far. My children and I are like fish in water. I signed up to go full time for the next 4 terms and that seems like it will be hard to start in the summer. Such is life, full of surprises. My 4 year old is going to have her tonsils and adenoids removed on my vacation so I have to keep that fish out of water for 2 weeks following. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer as much as I am.
Thanx for listening.

Unit 8

Wow, this last 8 weeks has gone by so fast. I have decided to sign up with Nutrisystem and work out for 30 minutes every day at a moderate pace, instead of every other day. I am also going to start working out vigorously 45 minutes 4 times a week instead of 2. I have changed my lifestyle over the last year and lost 15 pounds. Unfortunately I still need to loose more. I have a Wii Active that I use on a regular basis, but I think I am also going to invest in the Wii Fit.
I found out yesterday that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Borderline Diabetes. The main contributing factors to POS (lol) is family history of diabetes and also obesity. I have to kick Gene's (genetics) butt! I can do this.
In the mean time, I have educated my teenage stepsons about making healthy choices. All five of my children are working out with me every day.
Thanks for reading my posts, I have truly enjoyed writing them.

How to keep from being bored

Other than last weekend someone in my house is always sick. My step-sons got here Thursday. I had a sore throat and cold starting on Friday, the 16 year old got the same on Saturday. My husband came home for lunch today and he was fine. When it was time for him to come home after work he texts me"I'm sick, severe ear and throat pain, going to acute care". About an hour later he found out that it was strep. He can't go to work for 2 days. Meanwhile I have a 12, 5, 4 and 2 year old children to take care of.
All that I can say is what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I have so much planned for the summer as well as school, I hope everyone stays well. If not we will be watching a lot of movies on Netflix and eating boo coos of Chicken Noodle Soup.
Hope everyone has a fun summer,

Unit 6, The interesting stuff is just getting here.

I am writing you from Galveston Island, TX. I decided to come to Galveston on this long weekend because I wanted to see the Gulf before it got ruined by the oil. The oil isn't here yet but it sure is headed this way. The ocean is still beautiful.
On our way here, I began to think about my military career. Wow, how I have changed. I was a 21 year old girl when I enlisted. I was not socialized when I was home schooled as a child due to the restraints that were put on me by a religion my parents believed in. When I went into the military, I was like a kid in a candy store. I drank like a sailor, cussed like a sailor and didn't care a thing about what anyone thought of me. I did 5 and 1/2 years, made it to E4 and got out honorably with 2 children and a husband.
The parts that I loved about the military was the working out during working hours as well as the community service that I came to know and love, and the nice gyms they had for us. I think that really is all. I didn't take advantage of everything there was to do in the places that I was at. I liked to watch tv so that is where my money went. Its almost like I did my teenage years in the Navy instead of when I was a teenager. Does this make sense to anyone?
I thought on my way here about my Navy career, I am young enough to do it again. Hmmm! I have three children now and a wonderful husband. Maybe I will do some reserve time. I don't want to uproot my entire family for something that might not work out now.

Better Days!! ; ) Unit 5

OK, I am finally getting everything straightened out after my son was in the hospital that week. I got a few areas uncluttered and my schedule straightened out a little bit also.
My husband and I went to the Dallas Aquarium with our kids last Saturday and we all loved it. I am a Pisces so water is very calming to my soul. I wish we could have gotten a membership there instead of the zoo. Oh well, maybe next year.
We haven't had a very busy week other than that so that is when I am able to get things in order, thankfully. I am also writing a final paper for my other class which is A&P I. I am writing about the 5 human senses. I think both papers will be very interesting. Talk at you later,
Michelle

Organizing and Scheduling

I have a major problem with organizing. Let me start with the desk I am sitting at. There are papers, receipts, books, hole punchers, staplers, pens, cords and so on right here where I am sitting. Yesterday, it took me 30 minutes to clear off the top of my dresser and dust it. My house is not dirty because I am a clean freak, but it is so cluttered.
Then, there is my schedule. I have studying mostly put on the weekend because my husband is home. Saturday morning we both go "What do you want to do today?" and there goes the whole weekend because we can't not do anything on Sunday. We go to church and shopping. I also have on my weekly schedule that I clean one room per day and do one load of laundry per day. That I don't stick to either. I clean multiple rooms on Wendnesday and Thursday and do all of my laundry on Saturday or Sunday.
How did life get to be so complicated. I need someone to help organize my house and my schedule because obviously I don't know how.
